fpHoneyB is back from her wonderful vacation! I’ve been out of the office for a week spending some good ‘ol fashion Fresh Produce R&R. I was wisked away to tropical Puerto Rico for some adventure, exploration, and relaxation.
First on my stop was the capital, San Juan. I stopped over in old San Juan to check out the markets, scenery, and the colorful historic buildings. I bought some amazing handmade soaps there!
Above are some photos of the streets of San Juan and below, is the El Morro Fort, where Spainsh soldiers were stationed in the “Age of Exploration“. This is also the place where famous Spanish pirates were imprisioned!
Next I was off for some adventure! Caving was the first expedition, I rapelled down 200 ft into the mouth of Angel Cave! Squeezed through small holes, swam in an underwater river, and walked among bats! I also went kayaking and exploring the Rainforest of El Yunque. Did you know El Yunque is the only U.S. National Park that is a rainforest? The forest can also get over 200 inches of rain! After all that adventure I was ready for some real getaway rest!
Who doesn’t go to the Carribean and not go to the beaches? Well you know I did! The water was crystal “Tahiti” and as beautiful as ever!
Well I had a great time and it was a vacation to remember! Can’t wait for my next getaway, Fresh Produce style!

A few weeks ago, Kathe Freund, our “Customer Service Diva” overnighted a Pearl Starfish t-shirt to one of our die-hard starfish fans who wanted to wear it while on her family vacation…what resulted is a great story, not only for us (thanks for sharing, Ellen), but also for the sisters as well.
When my mother, sister and I arrived on the boat in the Galapagos Islands, my sister, Ann, said, “Ellen, I have the cutest shirt you have ever seen!” I said, “No Ann, I have the cutest shirt you have ever seen.” Well, we went on and on about our unseen shirts and as the competition heated up we decided to settle the matter Zoolander style with a walk off. As you have probably already figured out we had the same starfish shirt from Fresh Produce. It was the funniest thing. Hers was in blue, mine in brown. We got so many compliments on the trip whenever we wore our Fresh Produce starfish shirts.
Thank you again for going the extra mile to make sure I had mine for the trip. By the way, the trip was fabulous - almost as fabulous as our cute Fresh Produce Star Fish shirts.

Alright ladies, this is a fun new site that I think a few of you might enjoy;) It’s called design-her-gals and is sort of like paper dolls on the internet. You can create a character in your own likeness and then personalize things like stationery, invitations, business cards, even t-shirts!

If you haven’t heard yet, Fresh Produce has a brand new store in Norcross, GA - a sweet little suburb of Atlanta, just across town from its sister store in Marietta. The fab new store was beautifully, and very thoughtfully, designed by our own Visual Merchandising Maven, Teresa. She created a wonderful shopping experience that provides a rich and textured environment just begging to be explored! The brightly colored walls and furniture pieces are a perfect backdrop for FP’s own colors and prints. There’s also a fantastic assortment of carefully-chosen gifts and accessories from a variety of artisans and vendors who take time to create really spirited, unique products.
While Norcross is the newest edition to the FP Retail family (for a few more weeks - welcome Charleston!), you can also see locally-inspired versions of the unique new store design in Boulder and Scottsdale, which have recently been remodeled and in Balboa and Saugatuck, two brand new Handpicked stores. If you live anywhere nearby or are visiting the area, go check them out and get inspired!

Seriously, where did summer go? I know, I know, it’s not over yet, but I still cannot believe that it’s already August! It just seems to creep up on me every year…especially this summer, since we moved to Colorado at the end of May. At any rate, my favorite season, fall, is just around the corner and a lot of you are probably getting the kids ready to go back to school.
But before that happens, I wanted to reach out to all of you lovely fp blog readers and get some comments about some of your favorite things from Summer ‘07…did you take an awesome trip and just can’t wait to share your favorite new vacation spot? Did you read a great book or host a fantastic party with a fun theme? Did you take up a new hobby or realize a lifelong dream? Whatever it is, we want to hear about it. Half "peach state", half "show me state", I now gladly call Boulder, CO home. I am so excited to be a new member of the FP team and look

Even though I've been planted almost my whole life in the Colorful Colorado, traveling has been my greatest passion. I love other cultures, places, and meeting new people. I've been to many states in the US and over 5 countries!
Besides meeting new people, and traveling, I also enjoy; art, learning, music, the outdoors, great food, movies, and spending time with my friends! Well of course shopping too..
