Meet the small but mighty FP Palm Desert Team! Left to Right: Lynn, Kathy, Silvia, Joanne and Gigi (not pictured).

Lynn, our fearless leader, can find humor in any situation. When she is out on the floor there is always laughter. She is also our cowgirl, race car driver, wannabe rockstar, electrician, plumber, computer geek and overall token nerd!

Kathy, the taskmaster, can be counted on to finish any task no matter what. She can be selling, re-folding, unpacking, talking to herself (answering herself!), ringing up sales – all at the same time. Kathy is never without her tube of Chapstick – and we think it may be that she has a secret knight in shining armor hidden nearby!

Silvia, our store “mother”, is the youngest of our crew but takes care of us all as if we were her own children – so we’re always on our best behavior or else…. Silvia has countless funny stories she shares with the customers about her children; there is never a dull moment with Silvia – but watch out if you leave a project for a minute – she’ll clean up your hangers before you’re done, earning the nickname Hanger Harriet!

Joanne, miss sassy and tells it like it is, can do it all. When she’s not selling the clothes off her back, she can be found out dancing till the wee hours of the night. Our party girl always has a contagious smile on her face and a witty story that will have you fall down laughing. Joanne is also our part-time model and fun-haver extraordinaire!

Not pictured is Gigi, who worked so hard she broke her foot! We miss having our action-packed storyteller, complete with arm and body gestures, to amuse us and our customers. Gigi has the most generous heart and is always good for a hug and a smile. We hope she recovers soon!

They had a pink chocolate fountain, and a 5% donation was made to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade with every ‘Shine On Shine Strong’ Screen T purchase. Aveda gave mini makeovers and massages and there was also a drawing for a Vera Bradley Stephanie Pleated Tote! Below are some pics from the event, including their special dedication wall in the store where customers could write a name, message or post a photo in honor of someone special. FP Anaheim employee Bianca Bolinao was the artist behind the Shine On …Shine Strong BC dedication wall. Throughout the month they shared important BC facts with customers.

Mr. Taylor survived a heart attack just last year and decided he wanted to spend his 30th wedding Anniversary at Disneyland with his beautiful wife Janice.

About ninety people attended the show and our Marietta store manager, Jenn, helped all the models choose their outfits. They looked great (of course) and the crowd seemed to really like the current and upcoming FP styles that were modeled! Many of the guests wanted to purchase some of the items (especially the Pure Sweaters and wraps) right on the spot, but hurried to the Marietta FP store shortly thereafter to shop the afternoon away!

Kathe brought lots of door prizes and $150 was raised for the Humane society with the FP tote bags that were auctioned off during the show. Our designer, Sarah, even made up some bandanas from scraps of fabric for the dogs to wear as they were being shown for adoption.
